The City of Flagstaff Office of Labor Standards is hosting community forums on the minimum wage standards and implementation.
The minimum wage in Flagstaff is currently $10.50. Starting Jan. 1, 2018 the minimum wage will increase to $11 per hour. The public is encouraged to come and find out what the increase means for you.
The third community forum on the minimum wage standards and implementation is Dec. 6 at 6 p.m. at the Mount Elden Middle School (3223 N 4th St).
The fourth community forum is Dec. 14 at 6 p.m. at Flagstaff High School (400 W Elm Ave.)
The public is encouraged to come and find out what the increase means for you.
Did you know:
• Max tipped credit an employer can take still remains at $3.00 in 2018.
• Tipped employee’s tipped wage/cash wage would be $8.00 per hour (assuming employer takes full tip credit in 2018)
• Tipped employee must receive at least minimum wage ($11.00 per hour), for all hours worked in the workweek, when wages and tips retained are added together.
Cliff Bryson, the Office of labor Standards manager will be conducting the meeting giving tips and helping you prepare for the next increase.
